This former farm cottage is nestled in a picturesque valley and surrounded by fields with the villages of Niton and Whitwell close by. It enjoys peaceful surroundings and wonderful views, sharing the valley with just a handful of neighbours. There are wonderful walks through the valley from the front door.
Heating: Electric radiator heating included.
Parking: For two or more cars on a large gravelled area at the front of the cottage.
Garden: A small back garden enclosed by a low wall with lawn, picnic table and outside light. Sheep can graze on the field adjacent to the cottage back garden so dogs need to be on a lead in the garden at all times.
Accessibility: Access to the cottage is along an unmade track through fields that is used by this and a couple of other properties. The path is not suitable for low slung cars.
Logs/Charcoal: Additional logs can be purchased in advance through the contact centre. Logs are £4.50 per bag or £20 for unlimited access to the log store.
Offers: Guests will have free access (during opening hours) to all Isle of Wight National Trust properties. Please take your holiday confirmation invoice as proof of eligibility to gain entry.
It's hard to believe this special place of rolling green countryside and white chalky coastland is only half an hour away from the English mainland; time spent here feels nothing like the frantic pace of daily life. And thanks to low light pollution, it's one of the best spots in the South to see the stars flash across the dark sky at night – so remember to pack a flask!
