West Cottage is a pretty Victorian farm-labourer's cottage with traditional features and enjoys glorious views of the open countryside and the beach at Polzeath. Semi-detached and with a large enclosed garden with barbeque, this cottage makes a perfect holiday base to explore the miles of walks, coast and countryside; 10 minute stroll down the bridleway will bring you to the beach. The estuary of Rock with its ferry boat to Padstow is just a short drive away.

Walking on the headland around Pentire Point and The Rumps you will enjoy views as extensive as anywhere in North Cornwall. Wild flowers flourish in the hedgerows whilst the farmer makes his hay.

Just opposite are the larger cottage, The Old Farmhouse and Overhaven.

    Very comfortable cottage

Fantastic setting and a very comfortable cottage, well-designed for withstanding high winds. The best view from any bedroom window, looking out across the headland to the sea. Practical, unfussy furnishings and a good stone floor in the kitchen.

    Superb location

West Cottage was very clean and very comfortable and equipped to a very high standard. The location was superb, out of the main Polzeath village but only 10 minutes walk down to the beach which was ideal as we have a little dog and as we went in March he was allowed on the beach.

    Made enjoyable

the cottage was better equipped than we expected, especially the kitchen, the pictures on the website are out of date with regard to the dining and kitchen.. It was lovely to be able to take our dog into such a lovely cottage and to be able to take her on walks and beach right on the doorstep. we were ok as we went in November but think it should be mentioned that the beach does not allow dogs between Easter Sunday and end of September.
