South Wales is a land of sweeping green valleys, rugged mountains, woodland and forests and miles of coastal paths laced with heather.

The special places we look after in Pembrokeshire include the rugged landscape and views over to Ireland from St David's Peninsula, to the nature reserve at Stackpole where otters and dragonflies nestle amongst the water reeds. Then take in the views over the Bristol Channel to Lundy and Exmoor from sun-drenched Rhossili, the highest point on the Gower peninsula.

In North Wales, the dramatic mountain scenery of Snowdonia, with its rivers, waterfalls and the Nant Gwynant valley nestled amongst the mountains and hills, draws people back again and again, while the colourful beach huts at Llanbedrog beach and grey seal-spotting at Porthor Beach are just a few of the highlights of the very special Llyn Peninsula.

    Fantastic estate..

Very welcoming and friendly people, and a fantastic estate, with a lot to explore and enjoy - would love to come back when the lily ponds are in flower. The wildlife too was a delight, particularly enjoyed a misty early morning by the lakes, the bats at dusk, and having Broadhaven beach to ourselves one sunny evening for a (raised) bbq. I have to mention the clifftop walks too, marvellous scenery in every direction, some quite stunning vistas, and thousands of guillemots on the stacks. I could go on...

    Convenient for walking

The cottage is so convenient for walking in the area without having to use the car, and the walls are wonderful. It would be brilliant to have wifi in the cottage!

    Made enjoyable...

The extensive walks around the Stackpole Estate. Easy distance from the lovely beaches of Broadhaven and Barafundle.

    Made special:

The Stackpole Estate is magical! What a mixture of landscapes and habitats. The History of the estate and its decline intrigued me and the interpretation on the site of the Court was excellent. From the cottage there were so many walks and going to Broadhaven Bay first thing in the morning and making bacon baps and cappuccinos was memorable. We had five days with no rain and really explored. The staff at the Syackpole Centre were fantastic. They gave us lots of local information and guidance and when we needed an ambulance for my husband's fall and dislocated shoulder (while out running on the coast path) they were calm and quick to act.
