This section of the page features an image gallery, so if you're using a screen reader you may wish to jump to the main content.

The Old Farmhouse is a tastefully furnished cottage in a wonderful rural setting. Just a 10-minute walk down the bridleway to the sandy beach of Pentireglaze and a 5-minute drive to the fabulous surfing beach of Polzeath and the estuary of Rock with its ferry boat to Padstow.

This lovely old farmhouse can be opened up on the ground floor with adjoining Overhaven, making it perfect for larger families or groups. West Cottage, a pretty Victorian property is located just opposite.

Walking on the headland around Pentire Point and The Rumps you will enjoy views as extensive as anywhere in North Cornwall. Wild flowers flourish in the hedgerows whilst the farmer makes his hay.

Don’t be surprised to hear the owl, see ducks waddling up to the porch or even inquisitive house martins looking to nest.

    Easy access to Polzeath beaches

I particularly enjoyed the location of our property (which was The Old Farmhouse, Polzeath which I did not see listed as such in the list given above). I loved being able to go from the cottage straight onto the coastal footpath. I also enjoyed easy access to Polzeath beaches. The cottage supplied a backpack for hiking, kitted out with a blanket, binoculars, etc. This was a very thoughtful touch and we made good use of it during our stay. I also liked the suggested walks described in the welcome folder -- we used them to plan our hikes in the area.
