Pull the curtains back, open the window, listen to the evocative sound of the gulls, breathe in that distinctive smell of the sea and the sounds of a fishing village coming to life....right in the heart of Boscastle, The Lugger offers that special experience of waking up in the middle of a Cornish seaside village. Within a building that was once a pilchard cellar, and named after a traditional type of fishing boat, The Lugger is just a short step away from the historic harbour and the bustle of the quayside yet, being on the second floor, makes it just that little bit secluded and a peaceful retreat. There are lovely views over the rooftops and down to the harbour in one direction and up to the village in the other. In the same building as The Lugger is the visitor centre and our other holiday cottages. The Clinker and The Gaffer and across the river you'll find Harbour View.

Wander further afield along the footpaths that wind through the lovely wooded Valency Valley, rich with Thomas Hardy connections.
At low tide there is a sandy beach at Trebarwith Strand just 5 miles to the South West or a little further o
