We love opening the front door straight out in to the walled garden

I had booked a cookery course in Blacklion and wanted to make a weekend of it with my husband and three young children. My husband loves visiting estates like Florence Court and walled gardens etc. so this was a perfect location for our weekend. It gave everyone the freedom that we would not have had in a hotel. We loved opening the front door straight out in to the walled garden. The cottage was spotless. Checkout time was a little early (10am) but this was only a very minor issue. Very happy with the location and the standard of service all round. One other thing that would have made the stay a little more convenient would have been WIFI access as I had brought my iPad to look up local restaurants in Enniskillen and was unable to do so. In order to really make the holiday perfect, I'd suggest adding or keeping the following: - Access to bicycles - WIFI Access - Checkout of no earlier than midday - Free admission to the house - Keep supplying logs for the fire

    Beautiful location

Peace and quiet. Beautiful location. Evening access to Florence Court grounds and garden. Walks and visits straight from the house. Call centre put us in contact with the local manager(s) who were all friendly and very helpful. (so was call centre man). All the attention we had from NT staff at Florence Court and Crom Castle was fantastic.

    Cottage was very cosy

A beautiful cottage and very well presented. We were made to feel especially welcome over the festive season by the welcome bag of NT goodies including the best Christmas pudding we have ever eaten! Only constructive comment would be to try and improve the design of the kitchen to allow more bench space and easier access to cupboards (e.g. one next to fridge). Also could be good to provide a few basics like salt and pepper etc.Cottage was very cosy and locations on Florence Court Estate was truly special.Very impressed by our first experience of using a NT self catering cottage and were delighted by the cleanliness and appearance of Rose Cottage. Some of the information about local areas and cottage facilities was a little hidden away - perhaps could be included on a notice board in the entrance area or kitchen.
