About Redhurst

Nestling on the banks of the River Manifold is this pretty stone cottage. It sits on a former milling site and, after a careful restoration, has now been restored into a two bedroom cottage that oozes rustic charm. Step inside its living and dining area to a cosy space where a stand-alone log-burner extends up the high ceilings and wood panels line the walls. Its highlight though, has to be the gallery bedroom upstairs which nestles among the timber cruck frames.

With a quaint tearoom just next door, the area has become a popular base for walkers wanting to explore the beautiful Manifold Valley. Set off from your front door, picking up the Wetton to Ilam walk. The 10 mile walk will lead you through some of the highlights of the Peak District, including Thor’s Cave and its sweeping valleys.

You could also explore the area by bike, with the Tissington cycle trail nearby. Pick up the trail from Ashbourne and head to Parsley Hay. The cottage is also just a 30 minute drive to the spa town of Buxton.
