Part of the old farming settlement of Triggabrowne, Pitt is one of several farm buildings converted into comfortable holiday cottages. It is a substantial and traditional stone and slate barn adjoining Fortescue. Both have superb views over miles of unspoilt open countryside and working farmland.

Also in the vicinity are Dairy Cottage, The Farm House and Tippett's. Just a short walk away are the semi-detached Meadow Cottage and Triggabrowne Cottage.

There are lawns around all cottages, perfect both for games and lounging alike. Or if you fancy dining al fresco there is a stone barbeque in the garden in front of the cottage. Watch out for the barn owl!

A short walk from all Triggabrowne cottages takes you to Pencarrow Head with its stunning coastal view which is the jewel of this uncrowded part of Cornwall. The unspoilt beauty of Lantic Bay awaits those who are willing to make the steep descent to the beach.

Pitt is an ideal base from which to explore the coast and countryside, the South West Coast path takes you to the villages of Polperro or Polruan. The charm and bustle of Fowey is a short ferry ride away, with shops, restaurants, pubs you will be spoiled for choice.

    Cozy cottage

I loved the hiking I was able to do, the cozy cottage, and the warm and welcoming people I met in the little towns surrounding Fowey.
