This section of the page features an image gallery, so if you're using a screen reader you may wish to jump to the main content.

With a dreamy position right on the edge of Carminowe Creek, the eastern arm of Loe Pool, Pentire Farm looks out over the still, shimmering water, with the distant rumble of the waves breaking on Loe Bar beyond.

This remote 18th-century farm has been converted into two separate dwellings: The single storey barn, Lower Pentire Barn is on one level with a spacious living area open to its original rafter and Lower Pentire Farmhouse, a traditional building with its original features including slate floors and low beams.

Both have tranquil gardens enjoying bucolic views over the Loe and fields, while the buzzards wheel in the sky above and the gulls chatter on the water.

The restaurants, pubs and shops of Porthleven are a pleasant two-mile walk along the sands from here: those of Helston just two miles inland by car or foot.

If you would like to go on holiday and explore this part of the country you can find out more about our other West Cornwall holiday cottages here.

    Exceptionally clean cottage

Locator was perfect. Cottage was exceptionally clean and well equipped the only downside was no wifi but was not a major issue. Appreciated the enclosed garden for our two young dogs and lovely walks nearby. Wood burner was fab and plenty of preordered logs. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to book another NT cottage.

    Place to relax

The remoteness and beauty of the place, where we could relax and take the dog for a walk. Please do not stop allowing us to take the dog with us. We know that you need to let certain cottages be dog free but please carry on letting some so that we can take our dog with us it makes all the difference.

    Wonderful location

The location is wonderful "We felt that one or two items could be upgraded to make the stay even better. These are: larger television screen; some outdoor chairs for sitting - sun loungers were provided but chairs are sometimes more comfortable; a larger fridge freezer; a towel ring by the washbasin in the bathroom"
