It's hard to believe this special place of rolling green countryside and white chalky coastland is only half an hour away from the English mainland; time spent here feels nothing like the frantic pace of daily life. And thanks to low light pollution, it's one of the best spots in the South to see the stars flash across the dark sky at night – so remember to pack a flask!

    Made enjoyable...

The particular location was booked specifically to enable me to have a restful time and that was exactly what I got out of it. Very high standard of cleanliness/preparedness by the property manager who obviously takes pride in their work.

    Made enjoyable...

The intrinsic qualities of Knowles Farm, both internally and externally are somehow retained by careful stewardship. Please do not spoil these qualities by any future modernising! The attention paid by Lesley as housekeeper is of the highest standard and always very much appreciated. It is a gem.

    First class!

The whole experience from booking right through to the standard of the cottage was first class. Lesley's preparation was outstanding. A mixture of location, standard of comfort and peacefulness.
