This is a marvellous place for a large family or group of friends to spend an unforgettable holiday. A grand and stylish former farmhouse, set in its own grounds about a mile from Coleton Fishacre, Higher Brownstone is an unusual house in an impressive landscape. Located down a quiet country lane and surrounded by fields, this cottage also has its very own level enclosed and private garden. This is no ordinary farmhouse; as in addition to the fabulous garden and countryside views, Higher Brownstone also boasts a billiard room with full-sized billiard table! For those who can tear themselves away from the sheer pleasure of staying somewhere as special as this, the pubs, shops and restaurants of Kingswear, Dartmouth and Totnes offer something for everyone. If this is not enough, the delights of the Dart Estuary and the glorious South Devon coast are also nearby for all to enjoy.

    Comfortable accommodation

With the exception of a carving dish everything was provided. The accommodation was very comfortable and the welcome gifts were brilliant and unexpected. Overall I couldn't have asked for anything more.

    Made enjoyable..

NT people make a big difference to how good a holiday is. The booking centre staff are great. Local staff vary as would be expected but all are very helpful; the more enthusiastic folk add to the experience. The girls at the rumps were delightful and the team at Lindisfarne (couple of years ago) set a standard of relaxed management that was wonderful. Overall everybody involve from the NT have a very positive effect on our enjoyment of our holidays.

    Spacious and clean

We stayed in a magnificent venue which was spacious with a High standard of comfort, warmth and cleanliness. The children loved the games room and treated it with great care. It was a beautiful experience but was far too short a holiday.
