Just above Cadgwith Cove, the Trust has converted three barns of the former Inglewidden Farm into comfortable, single-storey holiday accommodation. The barns are built from the local serpentine stone, highly prized by the Victorians as an ornamental stone and so-called because its richly variegated colours were thought to resemble the skin of a snake, especially when wet. Set in their own tranquil grounds, with the coast path running past their doors and each with its own garden, in addition to Elm, Serpentine,Townplace, Inglewidden Vean and Ruan provide an ideal base to explore Cadgwith and the surrounding coast.

A few minutes walk along the coast path takes you to the awesome Devil's Frying Pan - a large sea-cave whose collapsed roof has left its entrance forming a bridge to a bay which 'boils' during rough weather. Cadgwith itself - with its charismatic pub, cafe and shops - is a short walk down a delightful path, whilst the villages of Ruan Minor, Mullion and the Lizard are nearby.

If you would like to go on holiday and explore this part of the country you can find out more about our other West Cornwall holiday cottages here.

Loved the location and the character of the cottage. It was right on the coast path and the position was close to the sea with breath-taking views. It was really good I could bring my dog.

    Perfect little cottage

Perfect little cottage with views over the lovely fishing village of Cadgwith and the sound of the sea from the garden. Everything you could need provided, very welcoming and warm. We had some cold winds but lots of sunny days. So good to be on the coastal path right from the cottage. Thank you.
