East Rosetta sits to the side of this large Victorian house and is very peaceful with a simple, distinct charm. It is ideally located on the seafront at Cowes, with the beach in front, and within a short walk of shops and restaurants. It shares an entrance gate, path and garden with neighbouring Rosetta cottage. Relax and watch the ships and yachts passing accompanied by the sound of the waves crashing on the beach.
Heating: Night storage heating included.
Parking: Space is available for one car on the garage hardstanding.
Garden: There is a shared, enclosed garden with a lawn to the side. The garden is raised to the rear of the cottage.
Accessibility: Access is by the front gate to Rosetta and around the side of the property to a separate entrance.
The stairs are steep so can be difficult for older visitors, the infirm or for young children.
Offers: Guests will have free access (during opening hours) to all Isle of Wight National Trust properties. Please take your holiday confirmation invoice as proof of eligibility to gain entry.
It's hard to believe this special place of rolling green countryside and white chalky coastland is only half an hour away from the English mainland; time spent here feels nothing like the frantic pace of daily life. And thanks to low light pollution, it's one of the best spots in the South to see the stars flash across the dark sky at night – so remember to pack a flask!
