East Rosetta sits to the side of this large Victorian house and is very peaceful with a simple, distinct charm. It is ideally located on the seafront at Cowes, with the beach in front, and within a short walk of shops and restaurants. It shares an entrance gate, path and garden with neighbouring Rosetta cottage. Relax and watch the ships and yachts passing accompanied by the sound of the waves crashing on the beach.

It's hard to believe this special place of rolling green countryside and white chalky coastland is only half an hour away from the English mainland; time spent here feels nothing like the frantic pace of daily life. And thanks to low light pollution, it's one of the best spots in the South to see the stars flash across the dark sky at night – so remember to pack a flask!

    Good proximity to beach

Our stay was made enjoyable due to its proximity to the beach, made it easy to fish and watch the ships in the Solent.

    Made enjoyable...

I have always found National Trust properties to be furnished to a high standard and to be exceptionally well equipped. The welcome pack is always generous and a lovely touch.

    Made special by:

The views and home comforts. I would happily live there! The cottage was beautiful. Well equipped. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends. The lady who looks after the cottage came to see us on the morning we left to check we had enjoyed our stay. That was a nice touch.
