About Carne Cottage

Stay on the banks of a winding Gillan Creek in this beautifully preserved cob cottage. Local speciality, the Manaccan Plum, climb its white-washed walls and a sturdy barn door leads you into its rustic interior. Low-beamed ceilings, a log-burner and slate floors are met by elegant furnishings and two spacious bedrooms upstairs. Its garden, just across the road from the cottage, has a gentle stream running through it.

You’ll be just south of the Helford River and a mile out to the sea; just follow the creek, along the lane to St Anthony and then a footpath out to Dennis Head at the creek's mouth. The nearby village of Manaccan, is just a 20 minute walk from Carne Cottage.

Be sure to visit nearby Helston. Famous for the Furry Dance, held at the beginning of May for their annual Flora day, a celebration of the start of spring. Throughout the year however, this lovely town has lots to offer.
