This traditional cob cottage, with a stable door and the local speciality - a Manaccan plum - growing up its front wall, sits near the head of the lovely Gillan Creek, just to the south of the Helford. Gillan Creek is around a mile long from Carne to the sea, and you can walk its entire length, along the lane to St Anthony and then a footpath out to Dennis Head at the creek's mouth: it is a walk of pure joy. Carne Cottage itself has a garden across the road with a stream running through it, whilst the delightful village of Manaccan - with its pub and shop - is half a mile away. You can hire motor and sailing boats during the summer season from St. Anthony.

If you would like to go on holiday and explore this part of the country you can find out more about our other West Cornwall holiday cottages here.

    Cosy, well-equipped cottage

Our holiday was made enjoyable by - the service was excellent, housekeeping and exchange of electric kettle within 2 hours after calling your hotline - the very cosy and well-equipped cottage I felt like at home in that cottage and we spent really wonderful time in that cottage with the beautiful garden, but the lane in between. During the day it could be noisy because of the traffic.

    Beautifully prepared cottage

It was easy to book, we found the cottage beautifully prepared for us and when we had a problem with the bathroom plumbing your team were very responsive and the plumber came around to fix the problems within the same day .

    Made enjoyable..

The quiet seclusion of carne cottage - we could just relax and chill down. The cottage felt homely and as the weather wasn't the best for June it was lovely to light a fire in the evenings.
