This is a delightful and unusual single storey, detached cottage standing on the edge of woodland on the Felbrigg Estate. Surrounded by a large and, in places, wild garden, it has immediate access to the wooded lakeside path and acres of walks in Felbrigg Park beyond. The cottage is just ten minutes by car from the wonderful sandy beaches of Cromer and Sheringham with numerous family visitor attractions just a short journey away. Free entry to Felbrigg Hall and Gardens during normal opening hours.

The cottage's layout

Ground floor
hallway, two steps up into kitchen/dining room, sitting room with open fire. Three bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin that can be a 6' double on request and 1 single) and step down to bathroom with shower over bath and separate lavatory.
Visitor notes

Heating: Oil central heating included.

Parking: For two cars adjacent to the cottage,

Garden: A private garden. The garden is not fully enclosed and so you may want to supervise young children.

Accessibility: The cottage is single storey but there are 2 steps leading up into the kitchen/diner and from the bedrooms down to the bathroom so the cottage is not suitable for wheelchair users.

Access through the gate to the cottage is a public walk way and must be kept clear at all times. The walk way leads into the Felbrigg Estate.

Please note: There is a Field Study Centre opposite and there can be some noise from children during the day and early evening.

Storage: Cycle storage provided.

Offers: Holiday Cottage guests have free entry to Felbrigg Hall and selected local National Trust properties during their stay (listings in cottage welcome folder).

East Anglia
A beautiful day at Kings Marsh, at Orford Ness. A former salt-marsh, it is now enclosed by river walls and provides habitat for both waders and wildfowl. © Joe Cornish

The ancient kingdom of East Anglia has preserved much of its unspoilt character, rural landscape, architecture and traditions with attractions ranging from the University city of Cambridge and the Cathedral city of Ely, to glorious, often deserted, sandy beaches, lots of seaside fun, outdoor pursuits and the unspoilt waterways of The Broads. National Trust places in East Anglia are equally varied, ranging from the magnificent Blickling Hall in Norfolk, the impressive rotunda at Ickworth, near Bury St. Edmunds, the elegant Anglesey Abbey, to the dramatic coastline at Dunwich Heath, with its neighbouring RSPB sanctuary and the Anglo-Saxon royal burial site at Sutton Hoo.
