The Trust have an established collection of over 400 holiday cottages across the UK that are perfect for a short break away. Trust cottages boast a charming character and we pride ourselves on lovingly restoring new builds to reflect the original and traditional feel. Our conservation projects make for great holiday cottages which we gladly add to our cottage catalogue.

Our holiday cottages come in all shapes and sizes from honeypot cottages to hunting towers, sleeping 2 - 18 people, and we have an array of alluring properties on farms and hidden away in enchanting little villages. National Trust land is colourful, full of wildlife in vast open space, with holiday cottages in some of the finest locations in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The Trust have holiday cottages in the National Parks of the Lake District and Peak District. Both are areas of exceptional natural beauty and the two havens are some of the UK’s most beloved locations. Elevated above Lake Windermere, Trees, built in the late 1930s of log and stone, has recently been updated to create a very special holiday cottage. With a log burner and patio decking, this cottage is perfect all year round.

East Anglia’s coastal county, Norfolk, is an idyllic retreat for a short UK break. North Norfolk’s Mustard Cottage octagonal shape emphasises its charm and is one of our most unique holiday cottages. Little bonus, the beach is a matter of minutes away!

Wales is home to more than 55 heavenly holiday cottages, spectacularly located across the lush, mountainous terrain of the Welsh landscape. The attractive Granary graces the colossal green countryside in Pembrokeshire and those cosy cottage Dyffryn Mymbyr is ideal for a short family break in the heart of Snowdonia.

The south west coast hosts warm temperatures and our holiday cottages in Cornwall and Devon are perfect for a summery weekend away. Doyden Castle fulfills the dream of living in a castle and sleeping two, this cottage is the epitome of a romantic weekend away.

We care for more than 775 miles of UK coastline and we have over 240 coastal holiday cottages. The South West boasts some of the best coastline in the UK, with grand coves in Cornwall, beautiful sandy beaches in Somerset and the historic Jurassic Coast across Devon and Dorset.

The Trust have a special selection of quirky cottages with fascinating features and artistic architecture that amplify the traditional holiday cottage. A charming cottage in Snowdonia would go down a treat for anybody looking for a weekend escape and Nant Las lies hidden in a wonderful woodland setting in the heart of the National Park.

We know you love walking around the glorious British countryside and our holiday cottages are nestled between many routes, trails and country paths, with great walks to be had in many of the UK’s most beloved areas. The Round House, a former shooting lodge and gamekeeper's cottage at Ickworth, Suffolk offers an unrivalled woodland walk, or enjoy the grandeur of Grade I listed Norbury Manor after a good stomp in the White Peak in Derbyshire.

We have over 150 dog friendly holiday cottages that are perfect for a short break with man’s best friend. We have over 35 dog friendly holiday cottages in Cornwall and the cornish countryside is perfect for exploring and the Lake District is a doggy dream. The Lodge, Yorkshire, is hidden in the optimum location in the centre of a wooded valley which your dog will adore and Norfolk’s Wood Farm has a luscious garden which is an ideal spot to be lazy and enjoy the sun.
