We have everything from cosy countryside retreats, to holiday cottages within the grounds of our special places, so whether you’re planning a romantic break or a family reunion we’ll make sure you’re covered. For the outdoorsy amongst you we have a range of campsites, or a choice of bothies and bunkhouses for larger groups looking for adventure.
If you fancy something a little more hands-on we can definitely help with that. Our working holidays are celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2017, so it’s a great time to come and get stuck in.
Our holiday cottages come in all shapes and sizes, each one with its own unique story. Many of them sit within the grounds of estates in our care, allowing you to feel like a little part of history yourself. The cottages are open all year round, so whatever the season you’ll always find the perfect escape.
Plan a stay at Mill Farm Barn and take a walk among the bluebells at Blickling or descend on Devon this summer and stay in one of the coastguard cottages. Penparc on the Dinefwr estate is surrounded by dazzling colour during autumn and makes a great base from which to spot fallow deer. Or how about a winter break at Minstergate in the historic city of York?
We’ve got a range of campsites in some of the UK’s most picturesque locations. Pitch up with us and explore Snowdonia, the Lake District or the Cornish coastline. With yurts, tipis and camping pods, even the most tent-averse amongst your group can enjoy a stay.
Bothies and bunkhouses
If you’re looking for a base for an outdoor break then try one of our bothies or bunkhouses, set in some of the country’s most special locations. All you need to bring is some sturdy boots and a sense of adventure. While our bunkhouses are for larger groups and come with some creature comforts, our bothies (with no electric), are smaller and will bring you even closer to nature.
Every stay with us helps us carry out our vital conservation work; but for those looking to get a little more involved we have a holiday just for you. For 50 years our working holidays have been giving participants of all ages the chance to combine a refreshing break with some rewarding conservation work. If you’ve ever wanted to help out on a working farm or be part of an archaeological dig, now’s your chance.
Whether you choose a working holiday, a relaxing week away or a short city break, every stay with us helps look after the nation’s special places.
