The Celtic culture of the Cornish countryside is the ideal location for you and your dog to investigate some of the south-west’s most prominent history. Cornwall has it all, including ginormous white cliffs, boundless fields with a plethora of wildflowers and cute seaside villages. On the coast alone, we have over 90 different cottages that welcome canines to the seaside. Popular dog friendly cottages include Lower Pentire Barn in Helston, Cornwall. The location of this former barn makes it a doggy heaven with lovely long walks and lots of open space so you and your canine companion can run free! Risemoor, in Alnwick, is just a minutes walk away from the golden sands of Embleton Bay, perfect for an evening stroll and taking in the glory of a beachside sunset.
The Lake District is a doggy dream and The National Park is one of Britain’s favourite holiday destinations. The enormous mix of terrain is perfect for your dog to really stretch its legs and splash around in the lakes. We have a special selection of dog friendly holiday cottages, shoreside and hidden away green sphere of wildlife. The Cumbrian environment is what you dog needs!
Dog walkers with a head for heights will appreciate Thrang in Cumbria. Situated in the Duddon Valley, the cottage is ideally placed for low level walking in the valley with access to the higher fells towards Scafell and Scafell Pike. The mountains and fells is what makes the Lake District perfect for some adventure with your favourite animal. The four highest mountains all peak above 3,000 feet (well over 900 meters), featuring Scafell Pike which is the tallest of the four and almost reaches 1,000 meters, Scafell, Helvellyn and Skiddaw.
You and your doggy will adore Wales and the Welsh landscape will leave you and your pooch wanting to come back time and time again. Dog friendly cottages in Wales are perfectly situated near some excellent walking trails in some outstanding locations such as Pembrokeshire and Snowdonia. Why not take your dog for a walk over one of the oldest parts of Wales and trek along the Treginnis Walk, where the rocks were laid down over 600 million years ago!
The Cwms, Pembrokeshire is fit for two dogs and boasts a large lawn and is within close proximity of the coast and pubs.
