Cottage rental from the National Trust is your gateway to enjoying the landscape of United Kingdom and its breathtaking views from cliffs and mountains alike. We have a deluxe array of over 400 unique holiday cottages in Wales, England and Northern Ireland that epitomises the classic UK getaway.

Our cottage rental holidays open your eyes to some special havens which will leave you infatuated with the beauty and tranquillity of the Great British countryside. We have holiday cottages scattered all over the British Isles in a variety of stunning locations, including Cornwall, The Lake District, Wales and Devon.

Trust cottage rental brings all the rich history of many spectacular locations right to your front door. Our holiday cottages are on some of the most impressive landscapes, and the archaic ambiance makes our self-catering cottages a joy to behold.

We have lovingly restored a vast number of delightful holiday cottages, and with the help of our impeccable conservation which sees many original features remain intact, we have acquired properties that we are exceptionally proud of in some of Britain’s most cherished and favoured areas.

The Trust cares for properties left behind by the likes of Beatrix Potter and Agatha Christie. Potter was an ardent advocate of the National Trust’s conservation work and left her 17th century home, Hill Top, in the Lake District to the Trust post her death in 1943. One of Agatha Christie’s favourite holiday cottages is also under Trust care, Greenway, which she called ‘the loveliest place in the world’ and the Devon property remains exactly how she left it.

Our holiday cottages to rent are on National Trust land, so you can bask in the freedom of the great outdoors and have some much-needed relaxation time! Our special holiday cottages are everything a Great British holiday stands for and the collection of properties we provide cater for all, including couples, families and even the dog!

One of the UK’s most famous and beloved locations, the Lake District, is home to a cornucopia of nature, where no two days are ever the same. This divine destination’s landscape is second to none, with the lakes, fells and valleys making the Lake District a phenomenal place to enjoy a National Trust holiday.

Much like the Lake District in Cumbria, our Peak District cottages are surrounded by a wonderland of woodland vistas and immaculate gardens in the Cotswolds. On a quiet, peaceful day, if you're lucky, you may spot wild deer roaming freely in the garden of your cottage!

Did you know we have rental cottages on the coast in some stunning locations? Coastal holiday cottages by the Trust are perfect for those who adore being by the UK seaside. For the beach fanatics among us, the Devon coast is the place to go, with shores in both the north and south! Combe Park Cottage is ideal for two couples or a family wanting to explore the East Lyn Valley.

Cornwall is one of England’s best places to stay and is becoming more and more popular with each passing year. The rugged coastlines, long stretches of sandy shores and glorious warm climate make it an idyllic retreat, with the southwest boasting some of the best beaches and coastal walks in the country.

We adore it when our cottages are rented out for a large family get together and our holiday cottages can sleep up to 18 people, as well as dogs! Godolphin House, in Cornwall, has room for 12 and this atmospheric luxury cottage welcomes families and friends to fill its grand rooms. It has its own private garden, perfect for BBQs, and a short drive to the sandy shores make this holiday cottage ideal for any family reunions.

We have over 50-holiday cottages in Wales. Dotted across the lush mountainous terrain of the Welsh landscape, with many ideally located on the west coast, our holiday cottages provide the perfect base for traipsing over sandy beaches as the sun sets over the bays. We have a vast selection of dog friendly cottages to rent in many heavenly locations across the British Isles, with over 150 dog friendly holiday cottages so you and your doggy can enjoy somewhere new together.
